CHALLENGE: Hospital A has 94 operating rooms and facilitates 78,801 procedures annually. The hospital was experiencing high volumes of medical supply returns that resulted in budgetary concerns. The staff also verbalized frustration to their leadership about inefficiencies caused by exiting and re-entering the OR suite multiple times during a procedure. This was causing the risk of infection to increase as well as a mishandling of OR time.

Hospital B is a customer that has been using our platform for 2 years.

CHALLENGE: The hospital has 45 operating rooms and performs 23,966 procedures annually. One of this facility’s key challenges was an undefined process for managing preference cards. The customer was in the midst of an EMR conversion and looking for a partner to assist with cleaning up their preference cards before implementing their new EMR system.

SOLUTION: PrefTech partnered with the OR team, supply chain, and executives to QA the hospital’s data to prepare it for input into the PrefTech OR software. This assisted with an overall clean-up of the facility’s preference cards that could then be utilized for their new EMR implementation.
